David Malouf is an Australian writer who has written several volumes of poetry, three collections of short stories and a play. David has also written for three operas. He won the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award in 1996 for his novel Remembering Babylon, in 2000 he was awarded the Neustadt International Prize for Literature, the Australia-Asia Literary Award in 2008, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and in 2016, David received the Australia Council Award for Lifetime Achievement in Literature.
