Iona Holtaway is a second year Bachelor of Arts student majoring in English Literature and History. Iona is particularly curious about the expression of the inner person over time and hopes to explore this through primary literary and historical material during her studies. When she isn’t using herself as a case study (daydreaming), Iona can be found wandering around second hand shops, making copious lists or holed up with her two favourite things, friends and coffee.
Mia Knox is a current English Literature and History student at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle. She has articles published as an arts journalist in the Fremantle Herald but hopes to pursue a career as a publicist in an established publishing house. With admiration of feminist and historical literature comes aspirations of one day publishing her own work.
Anthony Maiolo is a recent graduate from The University of Notre Dame, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Armed with a passion for exploring what makes people tick, he explores themes of mental health, grief and resilience in his literary work. Anthony has completed his first short story, ‘Something He Never Was’, which will debut at The Australian Short Story Festival.
Lucy Nimmo is a second-year student at the University of Notre Dame, where she majors in Writing. She is passionate about helping others share their stories and aspires to become a published author. With a love of coming-of-age tales that delve into romance and relationships, Lucy seeks to capture the complexities of human connection in her writing. Lucy is drafting her first novel and hopes its themes will resonate with Australian adults.
Mara Tisci is a mature age student, studying a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Writing and English Literature. She enjoys reading memoir, speculative fiction, fantasy, and horror stories, and is eager to write her own. One story has been published in the university newsletter and she intends to submit several stories to a publisher soon. For the past twelve years, Mara has been the Conveyor of ‘The Write of Passage’ writing group at The Writing NSW Centre, where stories are shared, and constructive feedback given, with the aim of publication.
