Dr Sharon Rundle is a book editor, writer and mentor. She has a deep love for the art of the short story. Sharon and Dr Meenakshi Bharat in Delhi, India, co-edit Indo-Australian anthologies published in Australia and India: “Glass Walls: stories of tolerance and intolerance from the Indian subcontinent and Australia”; (Orient BlackSwan, 2019); “Only Connect: Short fiction about Technology and Us” (Brass Monkey Books Australia, and Rupa Publications India, 2014); “Alien Shores: Tales of Refugees and Asylum Seekers” (Brass Monkey Books, 2012); and “Fear Factor Terror Incognito “ (Picador Pan Macmillan, India, 2009 and Australia, 2010). Her short stories and essays have been published in various anthologies, journals and magazines. Her doctorate examined fiction by South Asian-Australian authors published in Australia. She was awarded the UTS SMSA medal for Superior Achievement, and a UTS Alumni Award for Excellence. As well as editing books, she is currently Chair of the UTS Alumni Writers’ Network; and Editor, Society of Women Writers and Women’s Ink! magazine. Among other organisations, she is a registered professional member of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) and the Society of Editors NSW.
