Sheila Armstrong to appear at the 2022 Festival!
Joining our wonderful local and interstate authors for the 2022 Australian Short Story Festival is international debut author Sheila Armstrong.
Hailing from the northwest of Ireland, Sheila’s first collection is How to Gut a Fish. The Guardian calls the collection ‘keenly observed and deeply unsettling’, and it has been praised by Roddy Doyle, Claire Fuller and Jan Carson.
The brilliance of the cover is matched by the brilliance of the stories within, and we are so excited to talk writing with Sheila at this year’s Festival!

The program for the 2022 Australian Short Story Festival is close to completion! Join us from 28-30 October in gorgeous Fremantle, WA.
